The Folly of Melancholy came about as a gift to myself during a fertile but challenging period of self reflection and artistic growth.

These musical sketches are quiet meditations. Improvisations recorded in the beautiful setting of Calary Church during September 2021.

I am deeply indebted to my parents Fergus and Brenda, my husband Adam, children Budi, Somer and Beau and my circle of close friends. I would also like to thank Ben Rawlins and Laoise O'Brien for their willingness to trust my artistic direction regarding this album and to John Medlycott for letting us take refuge in Calary Church whilst recording. A special word of thanks to Tomás Mac Uileagóid of Eala harps for sharing 'Lazarus' his beautiful Irish harp with me and for sharing the images of his harp making process for the album design.
